This is an awesome post! I've never really thought of architecture in this way. Also, I especially liked the section on skin and touch as a language (or, rather, mode of communication).
I couldn't read this till Jason pointed out I could click on the images to enlarge them. I was anxious to read it because I could see that Goethe and Borges and Rorty and Merleau-Ponty were all quoted on the final page. It's a provocative essay, related to Lavater's essay on a possible language in heaven (scent) and other things we've been trying to think about. thanks.
